Elections 2019: What You Need to Know

Elections are coming up, and since it's an odd year, that means that we will be voting on the mayor, city council, and any other city-wide items like bonds, referendums, etc. In New Hanover County, that means that residents of Wilmington (within city limits), Wrightsville Beach, Carolina Beach, and Kure Beach will be voting, and the rest of us will sit this one out.



On the Ballot


This year, there will not be any bonds or referendums on the ballot in any of New Hanover County's municipalities. For more information about previous or proposed bonds in the City of Wilmington, you can visit www.wilmingtonnc.gov


City of Wilmington - 3 Council Seats & Mayor


Wrightsville Beach - 2 Alderman Seats & Mayor


Carolina Beach - 2 Council Seats & Mayor


Kure Beach - 2 Council Seats & Mayor




Schedule:

October 11 - Voter Registration Deadline

October 16 - Early Voting Period

November 5 - Election Day
